I won’t lie a few things went wrong but I believe I have the basics down.

Villainous Assignment #1
Why?
CAP 105 is a class that caught my eye quite some time ago, last year to be exact. I had a few friends go through this class and they got the opportunity to create some videos and do very impressive things with their new found technological skills. Not only did I want to expand my digital knowledge, I also just noticed that this class was required for my AD & PR minor. There was no dismay, only delight when I realized I’d be taking this class. It’s high time for me to learn how to use a computer efficiently and be able to keep up with the ever evolving electronics that are shaping our culture.
Experience
To be honest my experience with actual computers and the application of knowledge through them is fairly marginal. I play lots of video games and have a desktop in my room but I don’t use it for much more than YouTube and Google Drive. I’ve made plenty of videos so I know how to work lots of cameras and different editing softwares, but have a ways to go when it comes to web design. I’m no stranger to social media per the generation I was raised in but I’m not the biggest fan of it, and that shows through in how often I use it. One thing I’m proud of is my typing speed, not that it’s anything unnatural, but I paid attention throughout my keyboarding classes in middle school. I take a lot of pride in that fact because I’ve reached a point where I can type without looking at the keyboard at a decent rate. Although I know that’s not quite what you mean by “experience” but it’s taken a lot of practice to get where I am, so I would like to count it if that’s okay with you.
Learning
From CAP 105 I hope to learn a lot. It’s as plain and simple as that, I want to learn many different things. As long as I learn something I will be one hundred percent satisfied. To dig a little deeper than that I’d like to learn how to make a website. It seems like I’m already doing pretty well on that one. I’d also like to learn more about advertising and how to make it easier. I’ve learned a lot of the semantics of advertising and marketing from my CAP 115 class, but I haven’t really learned how to apply any of that knowledge. I’d like to learn a lot more about the trends in social media and how a business can capitalize off of that. How can a business take what they see and turn it into an effective advertisement? Lastly I’d just like to learn something about computers so when older generations ask for help I can at least pretend I know something as opposed to what I do now, which is call my brother and hope he can figure it out before I have to look it up for an hour and a half (<-based on a true story).
